Coming This January: The Slow Learner Podcast!

Well, here we are! After years of stand-up comedy, a late-life love affair with psychology, and more trial-and-error than I care to admit, I’m thrilled to announce that The Slow Learner podcast is officially launching this January! 🎉

You’re probably wondering: Why call it “The Slow Learner”? Good question. Let’s just say you’ll get a front-row seat to my often hilarious, occasionally clumsy, and always earnest attempts to figure out how to create something meaningful—and hopefully entertaining—in podcast form.

The show will be an eclectic mix of stand-up comedians, fascinating thinkers, and surprising guests from all sorts of fields. Imagine discussing the science of laughter with a neuroscientist one week and hearing wild stories from a touring comic the next. It’s the kind of podcast where you’ll laugh, learn, and probably think, Wow, this guy’s really working it out as he goes.

What to Expect

• Live Vlogs: You can catch live episodes and behind-the-scenes antics on YouTube (@TheSlowLearnerPodcast). Subscribe now for some unfiltered fun!

• Guests Who Wow: From comedians who’ve mastered the mic to thinkers who’ve mastered, well… thinking, the guest list is shaping up to be as eclectic as my attention span.

• Comedy Meets Curiosity: Whether it’s exploring why a great punchline makes us laugh or discussing the brain’s quirks, the show will dig into the art and science of humour and learning.

Why You Should Tune In

Let’s face it—there are a lot of podcasts out there. But The Slow Learner isn’t just another show where people talk into microphones. It’s a chance to watch me, Pete Johansson, stumble, grow, and figure things out in real-time. Think of it as a DIY podcast meets cognitive science experiment.

So, mark your calendars, set your reminders, and join me this January for what promises to be a wild ride of laughs, insights, and just a dash of chaos. Subscribe to the YouTube channel @TheSlowLearnerPodcast, or look for the audio podcast on your favourite provider and don’t miss the chance to watch the learning curve in action (spoiler alert: it’s steep).
Thanks for being part of this journey—I promise it’ll be as entertaining as it is educational. See you soon!
